our engagement

We were engaged on July 3, 2004 in Chicago, Illinois. The night started with a great meal and plans to head to the lake to watch the famous Chicago fireworks (fireworks are one of Katie's favorite things!). Arriving about an hour early, we walked around the lake and looked at the various museums. The last building visited was the Shedd Aquarium, where we climbed to the top and Denver dropped to his knee and asked Katie to marry him. Of course she said yes!

The rest of the evening was a blur of tears, cheers and amazing fireworks!
